Soothe + Dental Natural Toothpaste + Finger Brush DUO

My Fenale dog, a mixed breed, possibly part ridgeback, hound, Bull Terrier ( medium sized dog) just turned 10.
She has exceptionally white teeth. Since using this toothpaste with a toothbrush every day before meals, i have noticed that the tartar on her incisor Teeth has lessened, and her breath has improved a little
. She's become accustomed to having her teeth brushed and doesn't resist so Much anymore.

Sadly My Darling Boy, hated having his teeth Brushed. . i made the huge mistake Of using bicarb soda on his toothbrush, roughly 9 month ago, brushing his back Teeth gums and tongue.
It wasn't until 20-30 minute's later I realised he was having trouble to breathe, as the bicarbonate soda had seemingly restricted his airways..
Panicking, I syringed some water into his throat to help clear any blockages.. but from around that time onwards he begun regularly coughing.
The coughing never completely ceased, instead worsening as the months passed.
I found a natural fluffy bee pollen online which eased his airways, but it's no longer available in Australia from what i Can gather

I bought Shy Tiger toothpaste with silicone cleaner in Sept 2025,
Iloved that My Boy wasn't as distraught to have his teeth Brushed...
however i noted He Still sufferer breathing issues After I cleaned his tongue and back of mouth with the toothpaste.

At the time i wasn't aware that bicarb soda Or products containing bicarb soda Can seriously impact a dog's liver and organ function if they have existing health problems, Or allergies like hayfever and Throat irritation/ GI tract/gut issues.

i took My beautiful Boy to 3 different Vet's. None none of them correctly diagnosed My Boy. A Finding of liver cancer came Too late,
Tragically My Boy passed in November. 2025, just 2+ a half months ago.
It's still Raw.
I miss him every day.💗💔

I didn't discover the dangers of using bicarb soda in dogs until it was too late.

Whilst it certainly wasn't the CAUSE of his death, bicarb soda can be very toxic to an animal who's organ health is compromised and who's inflammatory markers are raised. Any animal suffering allergies or sensitivities, should be closely monitored if given bicarb soda.

That Said i DO like this toothpaste for My Girl, She licks it happily whilst I'm brushing, I rinse the Toothbrush thoroughly and complete the brushing process 2 more Time using just water, to ensure she gets a full mouth rinse, which us humans take for granted!

* If your dog has raised liver/ kidney enzymes,
Or other health issues, eg inflammation or respiratory trouble, please don't Let your bestie ingest bicarb soda, or products containing bicarb sodam
Please be wary, as this toothpaste (as much as My Girl likes it) also contains bicarb soda.
Most pets hopefully would be fine using it.

Just got the product.. smells great kinda gingery? The finger tooth brush is fantastic.. longer bristles and much easier to use than a dog toothbrush for sure. Waiting to see results with daily use from now. So 3stars for now

Toothpaste is good, dogs like it & leaves them with fresh breath. Only negative is that it’s not sold separately, without the finger brush. It used to be, but now can only be purchased as a duo with the finger brushes and the dogs don’t like them.

Don't know how it's going to work as only just started so hopefully it works
