Meet the family behind Shy Tiger

About Us

Hi, I’m Dr. Nicole — integrative veterinarian, mother, and founder of Shy Tiger, a natural pet care brand inspired by both my clinical experience and my personal journey into holistic living.

Throughout my years in practice, I’ve treated countless pets with chronic health conditions. While medications can absolutely play a vital role in treatment, I began to feel frustrated by the over-reliance on drugs alone — especially when they weren’t addressing the underlying cause. I wanted more options. Safer, gentler tools that could support true healing.

At home, I was raising our daughters with whole foods, natural remedies, and a more mindful approach to health. And it struck me: why aren’t we offering the same kind of care to our pets?

That realisation sparked the beginning of Shy Tiger — a brand grounded in nature, backed by science, and shaped by the belief that pet care can be both effective and gentle.

The name itself reflects our philosophy. “Shy” for the quiet strength and modesty of natural medicine. “Tiger” for its power, resilience, and ability to support lasting health. It’s not about rejecting conventional medicine — it’s about choosing what’s best for each individual animal, and using the full toolbox of integrative care.

My husband Max later joined me in growing Shy Tiger into what it is today: a vet-formulated, Australian-made range of natural pet care products designed to support gut health, skin and dental care, and emotional wellbeing.

Above all, I’m passionate about educating and empowering pet parents. When you understand your pet’s health needs, you can make confident, informed choices — and help them live a happier, healthier life, naturally.
